Directed by Ali Benchekroune
The plot centers on a kidnapping and extortion plan that quickly turns into an absolute fiasco. As three amateur criminals wait for the ransom in the countryside, complications pile up: a stolen car with a dead body in the trunk, a rebellious hostage, and a mysterious package. Despite their comic incompetence, growing panic, and a deceptive outcome, their loyalty remains intact in this unexpected locked-room drama.
My ambition with this project was to explore a grittier, more chaotic narrative in an open yet curiously isolating environment. It's a study of tension, absurd dialogue, and the pressure-cooker dynamic of incompetent criminals who find themselves overwhelmed by the wait for a ransom and their own macabre mistakes. A stylistic exercise that concludes with a subtle nod to the dynamics of 'Reservoir Dogs'.
This project was born from a genuine desire to experiment and play with tension in a minimalist setting.
